"I'll send a letter to Coordinating Minister for Economy (Kemenko Ekuin), Jakarta won't supply raskin (changed into rastra) anymore," he stated, during executive meeting at City Hall, Monday (6/20).
He expressed, the letter will be included with data of rastra receiver's bank account. Thus the subsidy that was previously rice, could be diverted to money with non-cash system.
28,425 Kg of Raskin Prepared for 1,895 RTSs in Tugu Selatan"We'll directly send receiver names with bank account," he expressed.
Basuki assessed, money subsidy is currently much needed by the poor than rastra. Moreover, rastra distribution is sometimes not on target and illegally sold by urban village apparatus.
"With non-cash system, distribution will run well. Because, all this time, a lot of rice is distributed not on target because citizens do not know when it comes, so it will be sold by the unruly officer," he told.
So, through money subsidy, they could buy rice and qualified food.
